Jewish Vote Canada

Empowering Canada's Jewish community through political insight and advocacy

What is JVC?

Founded in 2025, Jewish Vote Canada is a non-partisan, and not for profit organization. Our mission is to research all candidates running for a seat in Canada’s Parliament as individuals. We analyze their position on Jewish issues including antisemitism in Canada, the rise in antisemitic hate crimes, Israel’s war on Hamas, and condemnation of October 7th, 2023.

On that basis we either endorse or oppose their candidacy.

The Leaders

Conservative: Pierre Poilievre - Endorsed

Pierre Poilievre has been a vocal ally of Canada’s Jewish community throughout his tenure as a Member of Parliament. Since October 7th, 2023 he has been unequivocal in his support for Israel and the Jewish community in Canada. For these reasons Jewish Vote Canada endorses his campaign to be Prime Minister of Canada.

“My message to Jewish families across Canada: You are not alone. Canadians stand with you, and you should feel proud to be Jewish, and never feel like you have to hide that identity. As your Prime Minister, I will fight for your safety, your security, and your acceptance every single day.” - Pierre Poilievre

Liberal: Mark Carney - Opposed

Mark Carney was elected the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada on March 9th, 2025. Since then he has said very little regarding the Jewish Community in Canada or his position on Israel. What he has said has been deeply troubling.

Additionally, he did not publicly condemn October 7th, has spread anti-Israel rhetoric on social media, and seemingly endorsed the accusation of genocide against Israel.

For these reasons Jewish Vote Canada opposes his campaign to be Prime Minister of Canada.

NDP: Jagmeet Singh - Opposed

Jagmeet Singh, as the leader of the Federal NDP, has been instrumental in The NDP’s transition to an anti-Israel party. His member of parliament put forward the anti-Israel opposition motion 658, and his party unanimously supported it.

Since October 7th, 2023 he and his party have spread anti-Israel rhetoric and failed to stand up for the Jewish Community in Canada.

For these reasons Jewish Vote Canada opposes his campaign to be Prime Minister of Canada.
